I count it a rare privilege that God has blessed us with a school like Helpway Private School, Jos, where the lives of young children are turned around for the better. I am indeed extremely thankful to God for seeing us through another successful academic year. I am also thankful to the parents of our wards for entrusting their precious angels to our care, tutelage and upbringing. I am immeasurably indebted to the reachers of Helpway Private School, Jos, for their hard work, diligence and commitment in ensuring that our pupils are nourished with the balanced diet of intellectual as well as Godly knowledge. As the Proprietress and Administrator of this school, our job has been principally to provide a positive nurturing learning environment where teachers and pupils can reach peak performance in the two-way teaching and learning process. I make bold to tell you that by God's special grace, we are living up to that responsibility...

Admission Procedures

An application form can be picked up from the school from Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:00pm or apply online. All parents and guidance should complete and submit the application form with a photocopy of teh child's immunization records, and birth certificate.

ABOUT HPS

Helpway private school is a private Nursery and Primary educationel institution, situated behind Police Training School Bida-bidi, Zaria Road, Jos. Dedicated for caring and educating children.


The following are guiding goals and objectives for the school:


  • Helpway seeks to educate and care for all children,
  • Helpway seeks to serve the total needs of all children in preparation to meet the global challenges ahead for tomorrow's world,
  • Helpway seeks to build a solid educational foundation for the total development of the child,
  • Helpway seeks to raise up all children in the fear of God.

The school opens for teaching and learning. Therefor, problems, concerns, suggestions etc should be communicated directly to the school administration.

Together, lets join our hand mainly for the children, lets help them. Let us train them up in the way they should go so that when they get older, they will not depart from it. Together we can.

Management

HOW TO ENROL

An application form can be picked up from the school from Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:00pm or apply online. All parents and guidance should complete and submit the application form with a photocopy of teh child's immunization records, and birth certificate.
Uniforms and sweaters are avialable in the school and are included in your payment along with registration fee.
Kinder - Nursery Books are already billed and included in the teller
Primary 1 - 5 books are in two parts. Books on list (A) have been billed together with fee on the teller while those on the list (B) are to be purchased by the parents either at the book shop or in the school.
School starts at 7:30am and closes at 12:00pm for the nursery sections, 1:00pm for the primary.
Our after school lessons run from Monday through Thursday from 1:30pm - 3:00pm but not compulsory.
Parents / guardians are ecpected to provide their children with mid - morning refreshment and lunch in enclosed containers to stimulate growth and learning.
Each child is expected to bring one roll of tissue on resumption each term.
Children will be assigned to the following classes:

  • Creche - 1 - 2 1/2 years
  • Kinder - 2 - 2 1/2 years
  • Nursery 1 - 3 - 3 1/2 years
  • Nursery 2 - 3 - 4 1/2 years
  • Pre-primary - 5 years
  • Primary 1 - 6 years and above

HPS' Vision > Breach Building
Isaiah 58:12

The Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary has defined "breach" as an opening that is created during a military attack or by strong winds or seas. Another word for "breach" is "break". Our society today, is filled with diverse "breaches" and so many "breaks" that have negatively affected us at large. Here are a few of them. Which are very prevalent amidst us.

  1. Corruption
  2. War and crises
  3. Nepotism
  4. Bribery
  5. Poor health care system
  6. Dysfunctional educational system
  7. Joblessness
  8. Poor up-bringing of children

Talking about our children, Nigeria is filled with sever breaks. Things that should have been taken care of are neglected and abandoned. Poverty level is fast moving up the chart; our homes are breaking apart, the rate of divorce and single parenting is on the increase; families and relationships are torn apart each day, crises are destroying lives, and all of these ills have not left the foundations of our children unaffected. These breaks have done a great level of harm in child formation. These ills and abnormality have broken and breached the walls and foundations of many children. These breaches have turned the beautiful vegetation that has greenfield and decorated the gentle soft hearts of our children into the dry Sahara. These breaks have burnt down the moral standings and good character every child should have and have turned the hearts of many children into a dunghill of ungodliness and immorality. These ills have told many children that those who work hard and remain focused in their academics are only wasting their time, since what has come to stay in Nigeria is bribery and corruption: "You can bribe your way through anything" These breaches hae turned the hearts of our own children against their parents and teachers. Many children no longer want to drink from the well of wisdom and experience. These abnormalities in our society have made our children to lose interest in God and His activites have become boring and unfashionable to them. Those core, healthy values of firm educational foundations are broken down and turned into rubbles; and with all these, we are left with the singular option of saying that "things have fallen apart". But in our dismay and dilemma, God raises a voice to build up these breaches, breaks and cracks and restore the broken bridges and foundations in the lives of our children. That voice is Helpway Private School, Jos.

We are envisioned and empowered to:

  1. Raise educational giants and intellectuals in Nigeria and in the diaspora; children with great prospect in every facet of life.
  2. Raise children that fear God and submit to His will, children who seek God in spirit and truth and who seek Him to know His will for their lives and are determined to fulfill them as God gives then strength.
  3. Raise children with good moral standing and Godly character; childrean who will refuse to be part of the decadence in the society
  4. Raise children who will in themselves become "BREACH BUILDERS"
